How long does it take for a special order dress to arrive?

Bridesmaids dresses take around three to four months to arrive. This can vary by manufacturer. Formal dresses can take as little as a week if in stock. The manufacturer will give a specific date if the dress is on backorder.  Please call for more information.

Do you take appointments to try on dresses in the store?

No, we do not take appointments except for bridesmaids or Damas. We operate on a first come, first serve basis. If you're coming to the store to try on dresses, we do recommend getting here in plenty of time before we close. We are an incredibly busy store and want to make sure we are able to provide the best possible customer service by giving you plenty of time to try on dresses.

How do I go about renting a suit or tux?

If you are shopping for a wedding party, come in and pick out the style that you want. We will get you fitted and order a Groom’s Free Preview for you to make sure it is the style and size you would like for your wedding day. You want to pick out your styles 1-6 months before your wedding, so you give everyone in your party plenty of time to get fitted.

What if I have attendants that are out of town and can’t come in to be fitted?

If you have people in your party that need to be fitted but can’t get to your Geno’s, we have a national fit network through www.tuxedofit.com. Have your attendant visit this site to find a location and they will be fitted for no charge. If you have a tailor that you use, they can also provide the sizes for you. You can call in or email the measurements once taken.

What is the deadline for submitting measurements for your wedding party?

For Bridesmaids: Bridesmaid dress fittings should be complete at least 3-4 months before the wedding to avoid rush charges. A bridesmaid typically takes about 12 weeks to come in.

For Groomsmen: If you are purchasing, we like to have measurements taken at least a month before the wedding, so you have time for alterations if needed. If you are renting, everyone must be measured by 2 weeks before the wedding. This is just a guideline, remember that getting everything done should be on your timeline and what makes you comfortable!

How much should I expect to spend for a rental?

A rental package can run as low as $89.95. Typically, however, most people want to customize their package with special accessories and a higher quality suit which runs in the $150-$200 range.

When do I pay for my rental?

A $20 deposit will be due at the time of fitting and the balance will be due upon pick up. If you would like to pay in installments, you must do so before picking up.

When do I pick up my rental?

You will go over all these details at the time of registering your wedding but typically you will have a guaranteed arrival by Thursday the week of the wedding. If you have a weeknight wedding, special arrangements can be made.

How do I know if my rental is ready for pick up?

Starting Monday, the week of your wedding, we will start getting tuxes for the week. You will receive a text from us between Monday and Thursday to signify that you may come pick up your rental.

Should I try my rental on in the store?

Yes! If it is possible, we want you to try on in store. This is called your final fitting. It will give us the opportunity to see you in your rental and make sure that it fits you perfectly. If you do not try in store, you will need to sign a Decline to try on Waiver, wherein you try on as soon as possible and give us the chance to fix your problem at least in a day’s advance of the wedding.

What if something does not fit?

We have a warehouse located in Kentucky so we can get replacements on your rental quickly. We appreciate at least 24-hour notice.

Can I change items on my registry after booking?

Absolutely! We can change your file all the way up to 2 weeks before your wedding.

If there is a child in my wedding, when should they be fitted?

Children should be the last to be fitted for your party. We recommend 2-4 weeks before the wedding because their sizes can change rapidly.

When do I return my rental?

Rentals are due back by the Monday following your event. If you have difficulty with this return date, you must make arrangements prior to your rental pick up. There is a $15 per day late fee on late returns. If items are missing, replacement costs will be incurred.

What are the fit differences in a tux or suit?

The classic fit covers a broad range of body types and is appropriate for any size. A modern fit will taper slightly in the waist and fit more narrow through the body. A trim fit will hug your shoulders and contour your body.
